IF Formula in Excel

Excel mein condition ke according result dikhane ke liye IF Formula ka use kaise karein.

❓ IF Formula Kya Hai?

Hindi: IF formula ka use kisi condition ko check karne aur uske according result show karne ke liye hota hai.

English: The IF function checks a condition and returns one result if the condition is TRUE and another result if the condition is FALSE.

=IF(condition, value_if_true, value_if_false)

🧮 Basic IF Example

Maan lijiye A1 cell mein number 80 hai. Hume check karna hai ki number 50 se bada hai ya nahi.

A1 = 80

=IF(A1>50,"Pass","Fail")

Result = Pass

Kyunki 80, 50 se bada hai, condition TRUE hai.

🎓 Pass & Fail Example

Students ke marks check karne ke liye IF formula bahut useful hai.

Name Marks
Rahul 75
Amit 42
Priya 88

Formula:
=IF(B2>=50,"Pass","Fail")

50 ya usse zyada marks hone par Pass, warna Fail show hoga.

💰 Salary Example

Employee ki salary ke basis par category check karne ke liye bhi IF use kar sakte hain.

Salary = ₹30,000

=IF(B2>=30000,"Good Salary","Below Target")

Agar salary ₹30,000 ya usse zyada hai, to "Good Salary" show hoga.

📊 Sales Target Example

Business mein sales target complete hua ya nahi, ye check karne ke liye IF formula use kiya ja sakta hai.

Sales = ₹75,000
Target = ₹50,000

=IF(B2>=50000,"Target Achieved","Target Not Achieved")

✅ TRUE & FALSE

IF formula mein condition ka result TRUE ya FALSE ho sakta hai.

=IF(10>5,"Yes","No")

Result = Yes
=IF(10<5,"Yes","No")

Result = No

🔍 Comparison Operators

IF formula mein conditions compare karne ke liye different operators use kiye jate hain.

> Greater Than
< Less Than
>= Greater Than or Equal To
<= Less Than or Equal To
= Equal To
<> Not Equal To

📝 IF ke Saath Text

IF formula ke result mein text bhi show kiya ja sakta hai.

=IF(A2="Yes","Approved","Pending")

Agar A2 mein Yes hai to Approved, otherwise Pending show hoga.

💼 Business Example

Lead status check karne ke liye IF formula:

Lead Status = Converted

=IF(A2="Converted","Successful","Follow Up")

Isse business data ko automatically categorize karna easy ho jata hai.

⚠️ Important Note

IF formula ka basic structure yaad rakhein:

Condition → True Result → False Result

IF formula reports, employee data, sales data aur business records mein bahut useful hota hai.
